In 2021 we had the chance to once again partner with Maui Brewing Company helping With Custom Designed Equipment & Engineering Solutions for their new expansion.

Posted on January 16th, 2023 by Joe Kusmisz.

We started our partnership with Maui Brewing Company in 2014. The partnership was a great success as the client shared “Joe and A&E were awesome! We’ll be back to A&E as we have new demands”. So with that commitment in mind, Maui Brewing Company reached out again in 2021. They came back for our help with their newest expansion.

They were looking to add a larger canning line and needed our vast, best in class consulting experience with installing equipment and the support services needed to make this project a success. Having a limited budget for space planning and engineering services we stepped in to help engineer and plan the space regarding needed custom designed equipment and its placement, conveying, controls and finally installation. We focused on maximum efficiency of the new can line which needed to fit in a limited space.

The project has been a complete success as we’ve moved into the final installation phase of completion. Once again another great client partnership with one of our many craft and spirits brewers.

So if you’re in need of custom designed equipment or service solutions don’t hesitate to contact us today!

In 2014 we broke into the growing craft brewing category, partnering with Maui Brewing Company. See how we helped with their needs.

Posted on January 9th, 2023 by Joe Kusmisz.

We saw the craft brewing industry growing and we knew we wanted to partner with these passionate brewing entrepreneurs. We wanted to bring our experience and business expertise to this growing business category.

Like every business we are thinking of ways to take our knowledge, our experience and our expertise in the beverage, food and other categories wanting to putting it to good use.

We had a lot of positive partnerships with the larger brews like Guinness, Heineken and MolsonCoors and wanted to see how we could put our extensive knowledge of this category to work for craft brewers.

In 2014, our first partnership with Maui Brewing Company in Hawaii presented itself. We helped install a complete can line and AVC-500 Pur-Rinse air rinser for a 350 can per minute line. The partnership was a great success as the client shared “Joe and A&E were awesome! We’ll be back to A&E as we have new demands”.

Since that time we’ve had multiple successful partnerships with such craft brewers as SKA Brewing, SweetWater Brewing and Deep Ellum Brewing just to mention a few.

If you are a craft brewer looking for a great partner with a different perspective on how to help your craft brewery grow and expand contact us today!

A&E’s Custom Designed & Engineered Vacuum Transfer Equipment.

Posted on September 22nd, 2022 by Joe Kusmisz.

We know the challenges Craft Brewers have when dealing with unloading empty cans from their depalletizer. Cans fall or are tipped over during sweeping from the pallet and have to be managed, most times manually, to keep the filling process going. We’ve designed and engineered a piece of equipment to deal with this challenge. Our Vacuum Transfer Equipment removes these cans automatically from the line preventing jams. This is a great solution for both high speed lines and hard to reach single fillers. This innovative custom designed equipment helps keep filling lines running while also keeping employees safe.

A&E, Once Again Partners With Avery Brewing Company To Help With Their Brewery’s Success.

Posted on September 22nd, 2022 by Joe Kusmisz.

In 2015 we partnered with Avery Brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado. We helped custom design and install a complete can line which included a SKA depalletizer, A&E Pur-Rinse Air Rinser, Pack Tech six packer and tray packer and full can conveyance.

In 2021 they were planning to upgrade the packaging end of their fill line with a carton machine which included a multi-pack feeding system to their cartoner. The new packaging requirements needed to allow running 4-24 pack cartons, loose pack, multi-pack and feed 15-24 pack cartons directly to their palletizer, by-passing their tray packer. A&E was their partner to address these challenges. We custom designed and integrated a solution to fit into the existing space available and still maintain the flexibility for all the packaging configurations. The new multi-pack loading table along with a unique carton handling system was showcased at the Craft Brewers Conference this year.

Avery Brewing Company is one of the many Craft Breweries which includes, Maui Brewing Company, SweetWater Brewing Company, Deep Ellum Brewing Company, Southern Tier Brewing Company and Victory Brewing Company just to mention a few, we’ve been honored to form a long term partnership with over the years, always helping to meet their unique needs.

Details About The Equipment Showcased At The Craft Brewers Conference In Minneapolis.

Posted on June 20th, 2022 by Joe Kusmisz.

We were excited to showcase these custom designed and manufactured pieces of equipment at the Craft Brewers Conference this year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These innovative equipment solutions help manage carton orientation and multi-flavored/versioned multi-packing for craft and spirits breweries.

Multi-Pack Loading Table

At A&E we recognized the challenge brewers were having packaging multi-flavored/versioned multi-packs efficiently. We manufactured custom, innovative equipment to solve these challenges. We set-up operation stations to manage unpacking the beers or spirits by hand which can then be managed by a conveyor line for carton repacking. This equipment helps brewers and spirit producers to pack multi-flavored/versioned multi-packs on a single conveyor without having to take the time consuming process of packing these cartons by hand.

Carton Orientation Management Conveyor

At A&E we saw the evolution of packaging happening in the beer and spirits products category. We recognized there was a need for changing, dividing and managing the orientation of newly introduced carton packs prior to tray packing or palletizing. This newly custom designed piece of equipment will help resolve those challenges for brewers and spirit producers to help meet their needs.
